About me
Hi. I have been teaching 5th and 6th grade outdoor science education at Sly Park for the last 13 years. Before that, I taught hands-on science classes and outreach programs at the Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley. I'm from MA originally and have a BS in general biology from Bridgewater State University and a teaching credential and masters degree in education from University of California, East Bay.I started off as a wildlife biologist researching everything from whales, sea turtles, hawks, song birds and owls. I have always had an interest in the natural world and find great joy in helping our youth better understand the world in which we live.I am honored and excited to be a teacher scholarship recipient and look forward to the program, planned activities and meeting many of you.
