Discover the distinctly American oral tradition of Cowboy poetry and learn about the life of Badger Clark, one of the original Cowboy Poets. Join English Professor, Sara Fuller, to explore the rhymes, rhythms, and realism that were born from the lived experiences of Cowboys and those who admire them. In this interactive class, you will expand your knowledge of a unique genre, discuss and interpret poems, and if you’re so inclined, try your hand at writing your own Cowboy or “Summiteer” poem.
