About me
I taught school for 33 years, and I have been an academic coach for the past 16 years. As retirees, my husband Steve and I have followed many Americana musicians. We attend many local concerts, and we usually camp at three music festivals during each calendar year. My individual interests include horseback riding and reading. Currently, I have a half lease and ride three times a week on a gentle, giant Clydesdale mare. I am especially interested in historical fiction books, and I am proud that I have been getting my books from the library instead of buying them. Our travels include several trips to Madison, WI, to visit our newer grandson, born a year ago. Our older grandson Gavin, who has attended some Summits, just graduated from high school and will attend UNC-Wilmington in the fall. Steve and I have attended Summits since 1992, and we built our family travel plans around the information we gathered from Summiteers at any given location. We usually arrived at the Summit with the gear we would need to travel with Leah and Sarah when the Summit was over. Our family had many adventures around the US as a result of our involvement with FNS.
